A stimpmeter is a small tool used to measure how fast a golf green is.
Product description
A golf ball rolls down a slope that is 76 cm long and held at an angle of 20 degrees. The ball exits onto the grass with a starting speed of 6 feet or 1.83 meters per second.
Measurements are taken six times on the green in two opposite directions to determine how far the ball travels, and the average is calculated.
